MIND is looking for a senior test profile (freelance) to join one of our major customers in the province of Vlaams-Brabant.   Our customer is a global company with its HQ in Belgium ..
So, you’ll be part of a challenging, high-tech and international context !

The assignment:

• As member of the test team, you will be involved in the functional and technical testing of their complex software products.
• Analysing the test results and looking at continuous improvement is obviously part of your day-to-day work.
• Via the test & validation process you will guarantee quality levels of the final end customer product (i.e. detecting bugs and shortcomings before product launch).
• You are used to running and finetuning software test procedures and communicating results to the respective R&D teams !

This specific mission/assignment requires a local freelancer who is ready to work in the customer’s premises for min. 2 to 3 days/week to integrate fast with the local software development and R&D-team.  Remaining days can be remote work.  Hence, you are ready to commute to the offices !

Knowledge and experience

Below a summary of the different requirements for this freelance project:

• Plan and perform test campaigns.
• Analyse test results/testing data to detect bugs, anomalies and provide recommendations for improvement of customer’s products.
• Report the defects and follow-up on firmware adaptations.
• Design, execute and finetune the respective test procedures.
• Characterize and Report on performance.
• Write scripts and programs to automate the execution of tests and data analysis.
• Work in close co-operation with all disciplines involved in development of embedded products.
• Master of Engineering, Master of Information Sciences or equivalent experience
• min 2 years of experience in software testing in an open-source, embedded software context (C, Python, etc.)
• Strong analytical skills
