For these prplOS and prpl WiFimesh assignments we are typically looking for following tasks and responsibilities:

• Wi-Fi:
  • Developing a uniform management middleware for multiple Wi-Fi vendor solutions
  • Developing smart WiFi services, such as Client Steering and Channel Selection.
  • Debugging customer WiFi issues across the entire network stack.
• Networking:
  • Generic Linux Networking
  • Developing a middleware software taking into account the specific architectures of the SystemOnChip (hardware/software acceleration, PCI offload…)
  • Developing and debugging middleware SW for multiple WAN technologies

Required skillset:

• Proven expertise with embedded Linux and its respective tools (ideally in a telecom application environment)
• Experience with gateway software stacks such as OpenWRT or prplOS and/or prplMesh software (an open-source, carrier-grade and certifiable implementation of the WiFi Alliance’s Multi-AP EasyMesh spec)
• You have 4 years+ of experience in C software development; programming languages: C/C++, Unix Shell Programming…
