Device Management Platform – Product Owner

Mind is currently initiating the development of a management platform software to reinforce Mind’s market position. The platform makes it possible to manage a diverse fleet of embedded devices. It will be fully Open Source.

You would join the team working on this project as a Product Owner. This role includes the following responsibilities.

• Define and monitor the Product Vision (short and long term)
• Specify the go-to-market approach
• Meet advance prototype users and discuss their requirements
• Maintain and prioritize the Product Backlog
• Define User Stories by breaking down features and requirements
• Support the Development Team by working out the details of development tasks
• Make overall project estimates based on estimates of the Development Team
• Announce project progress status and monitor project success.

This is a hybrid role, you will work both at Mind’s office in Leuven (next to IMEC building) and from home.

Knowledge & experience:

As a Product Owner, you will first get to know the product by discussing with different stakeholders within the company such as marketing colleagues and software architects.

You will then have the autonomy to fulfil your role.

Your knowledge and experience include:

• Proven Experience as a Product Owner or a similar software-oriented role
• Project Management skills
• Stakeholder Management skills in order to effectively communicate with marketing, customers, and development teams in order to gather requirements, manage expectations, and announce project progress status
• Understanding of Agile Methodologies
• Technical Background on different used technologies on this project such as Docker, SSH, Grafana, Time Series Database,…
• Experience in tools such as Gitlab
• Good knowledge of English. Knowledge of Dutch or French is a plus.
