Buildroot Long Term Support (LTS) program
We’re excited to share that together with Buildroot, we have officially launched the Buildroot Long Term Support (LTS) program — a major step forward in improving the security, reliability, and long-term sustainability of embedded Linux systems.
The first official LTS branch, 2025.02.x, is now available via this link. In just three weeks, more than 485 commits were reviewed, with over 200 carefully selected fixes integrated. These updates address over 30 known CVEs, deliver improvements to 11 packages, and include several infrastructure enhancements.
