• Why Buildroot LTS?

For a long time, Buildroot has relied on the dedication of a small group of volunteers, who have to ensure reliability for countless users. However, this approach limits “long-term” releases to only one year, while many organizations need more extended support. 

That’s where we introduce The Buildroot LTS Sponsoring initiative – coming from a place where we understand the critical need for extended support which is beyond volunteering. That’s why we are calling all Buildroot users and enthusiasts to come together and join this initiative that’s shaping the future of Buildroot.

• Our goal?

1. To provide 3+ years of stable support for your Buildroot deployments. The success of this venture depends on the generosity of contributors like you, willing to make a change and ensuring the longevity of Buildroot’s reliability.
2. We approach this sponsoring like a “crowdfunding project”. Depending on the amount you sponsor, you receive more perks.  These are personal and come on top of the benefits share by everyone (i.e. 3y support for Buildroot).  You will only be charged if we are actually able to gather enough funds.
