For one of our key customers in Leuven we are looking for a “Embedded C software developer”.  He/She will have min. 2 y of experience, and be active in a dynamic, high-tech environment.  You’ll be part of the MIND-team at the customer.  So, you will have a sounding board within our Mind community…

You join our 40+engineers software team as an an employee and we expect you to work on this exciting customer assignment in networking & telecommunications.

What we are looking for?  Your key tasks and responsibilities consist of:

  • Expertise in embedded C Programming and code development/code maintenance
  • Use your proven expertise in LINUX to build the customer’s application in telco environment
  • Apply your (deep) networking knowledge like Internet Protocols (ipv4/v6), Routing & Firewall applications, DHCP, DNS, etc.
  • Ideally knowledge of telecom gateways and networking equipment…
  • Used to work with applications like Jira, Confluence for issue and project tracking
  • You’ll be working with openwrt (Linux OS for embedded systems) and/or prplwrt (open-source enterprise framework for routers & gateways in telco environment)

 

Projects will be performed in the Leuven-area (premises of our customer)

Knowledge and experience

As an experienced C software developer/programmer/tester, you will be integrated in the ‘open source team’ and be working with some of our MIND consultants at the customer.  This ensures you will be coached and integrated rapidly in the customer application domain.

Moreover we expect following professional attitude and/or skillset:

  • “can do attitude” is critical in this environment … Even if you’ll have sufficient support from you MIND colleagues at this customer
  • Proven experience & expertise in C, Linux domain, open-source environments, etc.
  • Deliver your software projects on time with high quality standards (ability to grow and maintain C-code base)
  • English working environment (NL is a nice extra)

 

Other important elements next to pure technical experience are a true passion for Open-Source Software, willingness to learn, be open and flexible, be a team player and be service minded to our customers.  Of course you have a driving license to work at our customers if required (some customer project are in their offices throughout Belgium)
